Coaching
Work with Gary Four ways in. All of them start the same way — a conversation about what you want to be able to do, and what's currently in the way.

What working together can look like Four routes in, described honestly. Which one fits depends on what you want to be able to do — and that is what the first conversation is for.
01 · One to one Holistic Health Coaching You want to feel better overall, and you've realized that food, sleep, stress, and movement are all part of the same conversation.
Start a conversation What Gary helps with Clarifying what you actually want your health to allow you to do Eating patterns you can hold onto past week three Sleep, stress, and energy through the day Building habits at a pace that survives real life What the experience involves An introductory conversation to understand where you are Regular one-to-one sessions with agreed focus areas Practical, small next steps between sessions Honest accountability without judgement 02 · Strength and capability Personal Fitness Training You want to be stronger and steadier — able to carry, climb, kneel, travel, and keep up, for decades to come.
Ask about training What Gary helps with Strength training built around your body, not someone else's Balance, mobility, and joint-friendly progression Training safely around old injuries and current limits Confidence with movement you may have avoided What the experience involves An assessment of where your strength and mobility are today A programme that starts where you are and builds In-person or remote sessions Adjustments as life, travel, and energy change 03 · RRCA certified Running Coaching You're starting to run, returning to running, or chasing a specific distance — from a first mile to a marathon.
Talk about your goal What Gary helps with Structured plans for 5K through marathon Run/walk approaches that build durability Pacing, fueling, and race-day strategy Recovery and staying uninjured over the long haul What the experience involves A conversation about your history, goals, and schedule A written plan you can actually follow Regular check-ins and plan adjustments Race preparation when there's a race on the calendar 04 · Better together Group Coaching & Training You'd rather not do this alone. Small groups, shared goals, and people who notice when you don't show up.
Enquire about groups What Gary helps with Shared training sessions and group accountability Workplace and community wellness groups Walking and running groups at mixed levels Learning together through short educational sessions What the experience involves Small-group format with individual attention Sessions structured around the group's shared goal A supportive, unpretentious atmosphere
02 · The process
How it usually goes The shape of the work rather than a fixed package. Specifics are agreed between you and Gary.
01 An introductory conversation A conversation about where you are, what has worked before, what hasn't, and what you'd like to be able to do. No obligation either way.
02 A starting point you agree on Together you pick the one or two things worth changing first. Not everything at once — that is how programmes collapse.
03 Sessions, and honest adjustment You meet, review honestly, and adapt. Life gets in the way; a plan should bend rather than break.
04 Habits that outlast the coaching The aim is that you eventually don't need a coach. Coaching that creates dependence isn't coaching.

Next step
Start with a conversation, not a commitment. Tell Gary what you'd like to be able to do. If he isn't the right person to help, he'll say so and point you somewhere better.
