Week 8 of Your Marathon Training: Building Momentum and Staying Motivated
June 4, 2025

Walk + Run
Whether you're walking a park loop for the first time in years or training for a marathon, it's the same principle: keep showing up, build gradually, and let the miles do their quiet work.
A friendly group walk through local parks and trails, at a pace where conversation is still possible.
Walking is the most accessible movement there is, and it works better with company. The club exists to get people outdoors, moving, and in good conversation.

From a first continuous mile to a sixth World Marathon Major. Plans are written for your body, your history and your calendar — not copied from a magazine.
Regular walking and easy running strengthen the heart and improve circulation, which lowers cardiovascular risk over time.
Weight-bearing movement loads bone and connective tissue in exactly the way they need to stay resilient.
Most people finish a walk in a better mood than they started it. It's the cheapest stress intervention available.
Groups work because someone notices when you're not there. That's not pressure; it's belonging.
